How to Find Peace

It seems that life is changing so rapidly. As I was watching the news the other night I was overwhelmed by all that is happening not only in our country but around the world. Jesus said in Matthew 24:7-8, Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in many parts of the world. 8 But all this is only the first of the birth pains, with more to come.

We have definitely seen many wars, famines and earthquakes in the world. We have also seen a pandemic, record inflation and uncontrolled crime. There is no shortage to the chaos that happening. But let me ask you, how are you handing it or how are you doing?

When Jesus was coming to the end of his time on earth, he met with his disciples and told them what was going to happen, meaning that each one of them would leave him. Then he said these words, I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world. John 16:33

Those same words are true for us. We all will face trials and sorrows, but we don’t have to go through them alone. Jesus is with us. Even though Jesus knew that he was going to face death, he was still thinking about his disciples. No matter what is happening in the world around us, you can be assured that Jesus is with you. When the world looks hopeless remember He has overcome the world. There is hope through Jesus.
