I like the comfort of my home, getting into a hot tub, watching a good movie, and snacking on my favorite foods. It’s easy to pursue comfort in life but has comfort ever pushed you to grow? Has it moved you to take a risk? Has it helped you to change? The answer is a definite no. It may feel good, but it’s not good for us. If left to ourselves, we will default to comfort.
The good news is, God wants so much more for each of us. He wants us to change because he knows that we will be better for it. It’s through difficulty; we learn to have faith, trust, and victory. It’s when we get outside of our comfort zone; we discover God’s power working through us. If you are going through a difficult season in your life, know that God is not punishing you, nor has he left you; he is helping you learn life-changing principles. True freedom is not living in comfort; it is living outside of our comfort zone.
